Dr. Vivek Mishra Profile

Dr. Vivek Mishra is currently a DST SERB-National Post-Doctoral Fellow with Prof. R. K. Sharma at Green Chemistry Network Centre (GCNC) at Department of chemistry, University of Delhi (D.U.), India. He obtained his doctoral degree in the field of “Synthesis of Functional Polymers through Living Radical Polymerization” from Banaras Hindu University (B.H.U.), Varanasi in the year, 2012. Thereafter, he served as a postdoctoral researcher at two reputed institutes in South Korea: University of Ulsan and Korea Institute of Industrial Technology during 2012-14. He worked there in the fabrication of controlled drug release through stimuli responsive polymers and hydrogels and in the synthesis of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, CO 2 utilization through non-toxic single step methodology for carbamate and disubstituted urea production. His research interests focus on the development of functionalized polymers for their applications in drug delivery, catalysts, biopolymers, nano-materials, and sensors, etc. He has published over twenty (20) scientific papers, including reviews, one (01) International Book and four (4) International Patents. Hhe is an active member of the GCNC, ACS, NESA and RSC.
