The Green Chemistry Network Centre (GCNC) established in Delhi University under the recommendation of a panel of world leaders headed by Professor Paul Anastas (known as father of Green Chemistry), Director, American Chemical Society's Green Chemistry Institute aims to: |
| |
Build a Network for exchange of expertise, discussion and knowledge between industrialists and academicians and between chemists and engineers with interests and expertise relevant to Green Chemistry. Network linking different Institutes, Universities and Industries will be involved in furtherance of Green Chemistry. GCNC will act as a nodal center to initiate and sustain such coordinated activities. |
| |
Prepare and disseminate the teaching materials on Green Chemistry for school, college and university levels, with the simultaneous design of laboratory experiments for these levels as well. |
| |
Design trainings not just to expose the chemists to the concepts, principles and methodologies of Green Chemistry but also to empower them to bring this new knowledge back to their institution or industries. The structure of the training will be designed to provide them with the knowledge and basic tools they need to begin planting the seeds of green chemistry within their own educational structure. |
| |
Translate existing Green Chemistry materials for broader distribution through the network allover India. |
